Do what Works for YOU


Lot's of people tell me how much they hate the gym.  It usually starts with me telling l them that I love to go to the gym and they automatically say a negative comment.  Apparently lots of people detest the gym.

This has continued on to when I did P90X or Insanity or the 30 Day shred... people almost seem to give you all the reasons why they can't do those things and end up insulting what you do.  It's okay to tell someone why it doesn't work for you but be careful that you are not belittling them. 

I am not a runner.  I actually really suck at running.  I've tried it for a few years. I joke about getting my hubby to run in front of me with a piece to chocolate attached to his back.  Or I say that I could run if I did sprinting intervals.  The deal is that if you are a runner, all props to you!  I would LOVE to LOVE running but it's not for me.

By now everybody knows that I think that being active is the KEY.  It's not about where or how you do it.  I think that having a program is important and sticking to it as much as you can will increase your confidence.  Whatever you do... do it with Intensity and Passion.  You will love yourself for it.  

And please, if you "dislike" another persons way to an active lifestyle... it's okay to keep mouth shut!

  1. Even though right now I am unable to do much as I'm still recovering from my foot surgery, I LOVE hearing/seeing your progress on here! You're a great motivator Michelle!!! For the same reason I love watching The Biggest Loser, I see people that no matter what the obstacle, it's just proof I can do it too! Maybe not Insanity, or P90X, but something that's more suited to me!! I'm super proud of you for completing Insanity and make sure YOU don't listen to the meanies! I say, power to ya!
